We had a fabulous time, and I got to spend a few days of continuous en-femme time, which is a bit of a dream come true :-)

With a rare empty house, I packed my bags, did my toenails (messed up a big toe 5 times!), put my makeup and hair on, and drove off to Miss's place.
She did my fingernails, and then we headed off.
If traffic is good, which it was both there and back, the drive is about 4 hours for us on a mostly 2 lane highway. If there is an accident or during weekend traffic it can take 6 hours. There was an active fire that had been going on for days off the highway by some miles. We were worried that the highway would be closed. But good fortune shined down on us and we missed that, but the week after we were there the fire did cause the highway to be closed for a day or two.
As we got close to the California-Nevada state line, there was a very interesting solar power complex. I've never seen anything like it before. It's been almost 8 years since I last made this drive and it wasn't there back then. Apparently it's the largest one. You can read about it here Ivanpah Solar Power Facility

We got to the hotel Bellagio at about 7 o'clock. Walking from the elevator through the large, fairly crowded open area that the lobby is, I was nervous as always about how I was presenting. There was not much of a line to check-in, so we finished that up right away, and yes we we're greeted as ladies by the clerk!
We head through the casino to the elevators to our suite. This will be fairly common for me on the trip, I noticed several people making strong eye contact with me as we are walking. I'm wondering if they are picking up on me being trasngender, or if that is more of a "Vegas" thing for guys to "stare up?" girls.
As I'm writing and thinking about this, I'm wondering if "guys" may generally avoid long eye contact with each other, but maybe are more aggressive lookers at women? Maybe Vegas extends that to even longer and more aggressive looking or "checking out" (some guys are there looking to get lucky)? If I consider my past experiences in Vegas in guy mode, there may be something to that. I'm not an aggressive person, but maybe I gave myself license to look a little longer at women in past visits.
Miss and I pretty much held hands most of the time as we walked around. Two "girls" that appear as lesbians probably get more attention than usual too. So maybe I was "asking for it" (the looks and attention) by virtue of putting out the girlfriends vibe?
This is the outfit I wore for the first day. I was very comfortable in this!
We had great service, the room was wonderful, there was not a single negative thing said to us. I got to interact casually with other men and women as we gambled in the casinos and that was really nice.
The next day we had a delicious breakfast in the cafe...

Then we ventured out on foot to visit a few of the other nearby casinos. We went to Planet Hollywood and Paris, basically walking around, gambling, getting a free drink here and there. It was a really fun time :-)

Here is my outfit for that day. I love the plaid shorts, and was really looking forward to a chance to wear them out and about!

On this trip I did not use foundation at all when I did my makeup (100+ degrees outside). I just did my eyes, used blush and with just powder it did a nice job of evening out my skin tone.
Here is another favorite outfit I wore on the trip.

I bought a new pair of sandals for this trip too!
Our last day of the trip, in the Bellagio lobby. They have great art exhibits, but I wasn't thinking of taking pictures of them at the time. There is an aquarium in the background in the left hand picture.

Thanks for reading!

You are absolutely lovely my dear and Vegas is a great place to go as a girl, I've done it twice myself and it was great.
ReplyDeleteTry and go get a professional pedicure next time and do it in girl mode you will have such fun.
Hello Rachael!
DeleteThank you so much for the kind words!
Yes Vegas was way beyond what I expected. I first thought maybe I'd go out en-femme only briefly each day, but as the trip approached I realized I should just make it "all-in" en-femme :-)
The pedicure is a GREAT idea! I haven't done that yet and haven't even thought about it in a while until your mention here. So thank you for the reminder.
I won't wait for another Vegas trip, I'll do it here locally.
Thank you!
jen
Fabulous presentation and lovely outfits, hon! You are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAs far as men "checking you out"...my male side would definitely be doing that for someone who looked as pretty as you. "Two girls holding hands" would also attract attention, so that could also have been a part of it...but IMHO your appearance was the larger part.
I hope to be as lucky as you, when I take my "Mandy" trip later this month.
Hugs,
Mandy
Hi Mandy!
DeleteThank you as always for the kind and encouraging words! You are a true sweetheart!
Your look is so perfect, and you do so well passing that I just hope to reach anything close to what you have achieved!
I hope your Mandy trip is another good one!
Hugs!

ReplyDeleteHi, hon! Been away myself for a bit, and wanted to check what's new for you. WOW!! What a great vacation -- thanks for your trip report!! i think Mandy maybe had an influence on your trip report writing?
i love how you looked! i think you're quite correct, men will look at women longer, especially at an "away" place like Vegas.
i looked at your pics closely, and i think most people wouldn't be able to tell you weren't a woman. Your breakfast and slot-machine (hee) pics convinced me of that! Must have been lovely lounging in your open-toed sandals all day (and looking at your red toes).
Yeah, holding hands with Miss must have tripled the attention you got, lol! :)
Great to hear how you decided you could go dressed the whole time as the date approached! Time away from your responsibilities is important, and i'm so happy you two made the most of it! i hope Miss kept you in line later at night for any transgressions. ;)
Your shorts (first day and plaid) are to DIE for! i think i told you before how i loved those plaid shorts... they work!
Here between tasks, been home more too, and son away. Wife has had me step up my responsibilities around here. More vacuuming (and clean that vacuum bag!), carpet spot cleaning, ironing (ugh), wash (and new complicated steps to take care of Her bras!), naturally the kitchen and straightening. i was nearly surprised by a lawn treatment guy (that i know) as i lounged here in my cleaning outfit -- bright pink tennis shirt and jeans shorts, over bra and panties. Fortunately, i noted a truck outside!
hug and congrats, sara
Yes I absolutely love those shorts! I think I need to wear them to my next electrolysis appointment! I would love to find more in plaid too - I just think they are so darn cute!
DeleteThanks for your comment on how I was presenting - I very much appreciate that kind of feedback, it makes me feel so good :-)
The feeling was almost magical being out in public, and yes especially in sandals with my toes all pretty!
I was a good girl so Miss didn't have to put me in my place on the trip. I know, disappointing huh? LOL!
So it sounds like your wife is taking more charge over you and what you do? Congratulation! As you know I love a firm hand over my activities from Miss too.
Close call with the lawn guy! Oooooh that could have been so embarrassing!
Take care!
p.s. - I'd love to see a picture of your girly self, it sounds like you had a really cute little outfit going on there!
Oh, i meant to ask, how did you find using restrooms, on the road or in Vegas? Thanks, sara
ReplyDeleteHi sara!
DeleteSorry I'm replying so late! I'm been in one of my busy at work modes.
We really didn't make any restroom stops on the drive, but while in the hotels/casinos we had no issues. Miss and I pretty much went together into them.
