I love the awareness and "humanization" that I see happening in the media for trans issues.
Showing real people and real families with transgender people will help to make us more familiar to others.
Familiarity over time does lead to acceptance and broader societal integration... eventually. Think of all the many "minorities" and how they have progressed to better acceptance. I know, still a long way to go but at least this train is in motion!
